Most Perspectives Indonesia alumni are involved in ministry to the numerous unreached people groups within the region. Others serve as mission educators and mobilizers within churches and Christian schools. The Indonesian Church has long history of prayer for and mission to unreached peoples. The Perspectives course is a strategic tool serving the Church’s mission.

In 2006, a local mission mobilizer began pursuing a vision to provide the Perspectives course in the Indonesian language. Both the Kairos course and the B2B course were effectively sowing mission vision into the large Indonesian church; the Perspectives course would contribute depth to the vision. The first Perspectives course was held in 2013 in English with thirty strategic leaders. In 2016 an Intensive course was conducted for about 150 students utilizing a beta version of the Indonesian translation.

Producing a finalized translation of the curriculum took a few more years. When Perspectives shifted to a virtual class during the pandemic from 2021-2023, it enrolled 120 students, including many pastors, educators, students, and professionals.

“The Perspective course gives a broad understanding of God as a missionary God who entrusted His mission work to His people. The Biblical perspective makes us aware that mission is always in His heart, and He desires all people groups to join Him in His Kingdom. How should we respond to His plan and desire? Take the course and you'll discover this amazing God and His work!”
